Counseling & Mental Health Services
Supporting the Well-Being of Every Student
At Wilsona School District, we understand that mental health is just as important as physical health and academic success. Our Counseling and Mental Health Services are designed to support the emotional, social, and behavioral well-being of every student.
We provide a safe, confidential, and supportive space where students can express themselves, build coping skills, and receive the help they need to succeed—both in school and in life.
Our Services Include:
- Individual Counseling: Short-term support for students dealing with stress, anxiety, grief, family changes, peer conflicts, and more.
- Group Counseling: Small group sessions that focus on shared topics like emotional regulation, self-esteem, friendship skills, and managing anxiety.
- Crisis Intervention: Immediate support for students facing emotional distress or urgent mental health needs.
- Mental Health Referrals: We partner with community agencies and mental health providers to connect families with long-term or specialized care.
- Classroom SEL Lessons: Counselors and social workers lead school-wide lessons focused on emotional intelligence, kindness, conflict resolution, and more.
- Family Support & Resources: We work with families to offer guidance, connect them to outside services, and ensure ongoing support.
